The South Florida Federal Executive Board [SFFEB] has setup an ESOL [English as a Second Language] speakers program at Hialeah High School and Miami High School. We are seeking individuals who would like to share their learning and culture acclimation experiences with these new young Americans. They are young and afraid of the newness that comes with moving to a new country. By sharing your experiences with them you can show them that learning the language will help them to achieve their goals.
We are specifically looking for individuals that moved to the USA when they were young and can speak to the students’ concerns.
The SFFEB’s Humanitarian, Innovative and Philanthropic (HIP) Committee in conjunction with Hialeah High School is seeking ESOL Outreach volunteers.
The ESOL Outreach Initiative runs the length of the school year and is described in the attached document. The outreach presentations occurs at Hialeah Senior High School - 251 E 47th St, Hialeah, FL 33013.
Please have any interested volunteers complete the attached Point of contact form with their informationAgencies interested in participating, please click here to download the Point of contact form with their information or click here to fill out the form online.
